A bit about me:
I was fortunate to have grown up living in different areas of the world. Through my upbringing, I learned I have a love for travel, experiencing new cultures, and getting to know people from many walks of life. Realizing I wanted to work in a helping profession, I pursued my higher studies in psychology and gained rewarding experience in the field in various ways, including through leading activities in an inclusive living facility for college-aged youth, helping families in an alternative pubic high school, and working as a consultant on several mental health programs supporting staff in humanitarian organizations.
I have specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and use relationally and interpersonally focused psychodynamic approaches. I have been working in the mental health sector since 2011 and I love to work with a range of age groups, including children, 6 and up, adolescents, and adults of all ages. I aim to create a warm and inclusive space for individuals with sensitivity to important aspects of identity, including, but not limited to, age, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religious or spiritual identifications, socioeconomic status, country of origin, educational level, and ability. I strive to create a space that allows us to explore new possible ways to increase wellness in a way that works for you and your unique sense of self. I aim to uphold values that are rooted in respect, curiosity and collaboration.
Spending time in nature, bonding with animals, and cooking are some of my own forms of self care. Other interests of mine include Reiki and languages; I can speak French at an intermediate level and some Turkish. I also enjoy practicing embodied movement, including yoga and dance.
